Celebrating Everyday Heroes
When was the last time you felt like a star? Maybe it was picking up that last plastic cup left on the beach, leaving the Mediterranean a little cleaner. Or giving a friend a ride home after a late night. Or simply walking into the party with cold beers right on time.
For Estrella Damm, these aren't small details they are the acts of a true "Star."
The Ideation & Strategic Angle
The process started with a fundamental question: How can a heritage brand talk about environmental and social responsibility without sounding preachy or disconnected from everyday culture?
Instead of crafting a distant corporate sustainability campaign, we turned to the brand’s core asset, the iconic red star logo and reinterpreted its meaning. We looked at the everyday lifestyle of Barcelona and noticed that real impact doesn't always come from grand gestures; it happens in small, conscious decisions made during social moments.
We decided to invert the traditional hierarchy of advertising: instead of making the brand or a celebrity the star of the hero film, we decentralized the brand and placed the consumer at the very center of the narrative. We redefined what it means to be a "Star," linking the title directly to conscious, positive, and community-minded actions.
The Concept & Execution
This led to "La Estrella Eres Tú" (You Are the Star), a campaign designed to weave CSR into the brand's DNA in an organic, celebratory way. Instead of lecturing people about recycling or safety, we chose to celebrate those small acts of everyday responsibility with humor, warmth, and pride.
Visually, the work pairs Estrella Damm’s iconic red backdrop with tactile, handwritten messaging across Barcelona’s streetscape. The spontaneous, human typography feels like notes left by a friend, creating an immediate, personal connection in public spaces. It is an invitation to see the extraordinary in the ordinary and a reminder that doing the right thing is what truly makes you a star.
